And so I'm a 21 yr old male and I purchased a 2008 Saturn Vue XE FWD (4 cylinder) crimson in colour. At the time of buy the vehicle only had 149,825 km which is very low for the age. Since purchasing this car outright at a local dealership I'chiliad absolutely in dear. I'one thousand in college full time and work part time and live on my own in a townhouse. This motorcar is absolutely astonishing!!! Very smooth bulldoze, gas mileage is not bad at all. Virtually next to nothing in noise which I beloved. Lots of room and the seats are comfy to sit in. The spare tire is in the trunk area under a hatch which I like. Easily accessible if needed. For a base model the features in my opinion are on betoken. I was expecting way less in information technology. Very easy car to drive. My own hard-earned coin was patently used to purchase this outright and I practise not regret it at all any. Accelerating braking steering perfect for me!! I love the option to drive it in manual with the buttons for it on the side of the shifted knob. Squeamish little change if you get bored with your hands lol. Going up steep hills is effortless. Which is impressive to me. For my very outset vehicle I don't regret this. Plus my dealership gave me a 3 month warranty and also take an extended 3 year warranty that is all inclusive and comprehensive with 0 deductible and a car rental. And so if annihilation happens, information technology'due south already covered!!! Dear it!! Such a shame that Saturn went nether. They did a real skillful choice but building this 1 off of the European Opel model. Didn't like the previous years models simply this ane is a keeper for me. Scarlett (nicknamed her) and myself have a lot of adventures up alee!!

Bought well used at a slap-up price. With 130k on the odometer you look some looseness, noises and broken pieces. The vehicle has had two previous owners and a make clean carfax. Everything works, has a great sound system and drives like it is almost new. Afterward 46 years of driving, this suv stands out as i of the few vehicles that I truly enjoy driving. Information technology tracks true and feels safe even on our poor roads. Braking is very positive and interior racket is well beneath average. Very few creaks, groans or rattling. Steering is firm and takes a little effort to turn the wheel simply I find this a positive every bit information technology is and wouldn't alter it if I could. Turning radius is acceptable and is the reason the machine feels and then stable at speed on irregular surfaces. The tighter turning of our previous RAV4 gave an inferior sense of stability in comparison. All switches and controls are well thought out and are generally intuitive to use. Engine noise is very low and power is very adequate from the 3.5L powertrain, The six speed transmission with the manual select feature is a delight in its working form. Fingers crossed on the tranny every bit there are a few reliability complaints out at that place. There is a small leak at the engine'south rear main seal and few coolant drips but all are quite pocket-sized. Again, the whole package has a lot of miles only however feels young. A skilful review for a used auto is more than valuable than ten new car accolades. At less than a quarter of its new price I am quite happy with the value. My simply valid complaint is the fuel economy. Winter time driving is yielding only 16 mpg in the combined highway / city driving. Electric current fuel cost makes this adequate only the future will eventually double the operating cost. Overall; I really like this machine.

I never heard of a Saturn Vue until my dad recently brought it to my attention. A co-worker of his had purchased a 2006 Vue in the by and absolutely loved it. I did my research and stumbled upon the 2008 XR model, which I cruel in love with. Within a calendar week or 2, I found the perfect 1. The size and fashion of the vehicle was everything I wanted (the only thing it didn't accept was a sunroof, simply that'due south definitely forgivable). The major downfall of the vehicle itself is that the engine is loud, which tin can be a flake irritating, only information technology's cypher terrible. I suggest you test drive information technology prior to purchasing to run into what I hateful. Several SUV's have that aforementioned consequence, non simply those from Saturn, but it'southward nothing to dismiss the car about. Other than that, I am finding more and more things that I love about the vehicle. Information technology's a rubber and reliable motorcar; even though Saturn is no longer in business, pretty much whatsoever GMC, etc. dealership will service it for y'all since the parts come from various makes/models of cars. I love the fact that the rear view mirror automatically dims at nighttime so you lot don't get blinded from the headlights from other cars behind yous. The gas mileage is pretty decent for an SUV--nothing to rant and rave about, but it's better than my previous sedan. Overall, it's an affordable, reliable, sleek looking vehicle with little perks hither and there that are pretty impressive for an older SUV.

I absolutely cannot stand my saturn vue. To be dreadfully honest tho I did not do my due diligence when purchasing it. The saturn was the first car I test drove and it was fantastic, bought it on the spot without te6st driving others. Going from my 05 ford Mustang I really wanted to upgrade to a more comfortable and bigger motorcar. After buying my vue I was really reaping the benefits of gassing up every 3 weeks to a month. nevertheless, afterwards I changed careers, I at present worked upward this really step hill. From at that place the quality of my saturn macerated. The very first time I drove up the hill my hybrid arrangement failed and the car would jerk when the gears changed. Fast frontwards v months, at present anybody I have to press on the gas to get a little horsepower apace, my hybrid organisation e'er shuts off and information technology's every bit if I'm not driving a hybrd, although the four cyl engine is very noticeable when driving up hills. The sensor for my tire pressure level is constantly on even tho all my tires are perfectly fine. There's as well ii manufactory recalls on it right now that I accept yet to get it fixed.

My biggest gripe well-nigh this car is the effin seats! These seats are not comfortable at all for anything over a half hr. The other thing is it looks like information technology would be a roomy auto, not so much the example when you have two kids after two car eats in the dorsum, skilful luck getting anyone else in there. Keen, but not great.

We bought this car used two years ago with 30k, still under the gm 100k mile warranty. I picked it out because the crash tests were excellent and we needed an awd for the pa winters. My married woman thinks it looks overnice and is extremely comfortable. Personally, I would like a college arm rest and a more sensible dc jack (y'all cant use 1 of the cup holders with most jail cell telephone chargers and gps's). After about a year of ownership and 52k mi total, the transmission failed. I have never had that happen in a gm vehicle especially with so few of miles. Luckily, onstar was quick to help my stranded wife, towing was free with the onstar, and the tranny was covered by the manufactory drivetrain warranty. They wound upwardly swapping a new tranny from the mill for the quondam one, said information technology would be cheaper for them. Without the warranty, information technology would have been a $ii,000 chore. It works great now, but what happens when the warranty runs out and the tranny is at the same fail betoken as the original? Overall, we honey the infinite, the handling, the safety, and the ride comfort. I dislike the 18 mpg and the fear of some other tranny failure. It merely seems like the 6 speed car thinks and shifts too much. p.s., I read in another review about a hood latch result. Ours sometimes won't secure the hood down and I have to spray some wd40 on the cablevision.

I researched vechicles for about a month and a half before ownership my Saturn Vue. It took me a few days to realize that is what I wanted. I looked at Jeep Liberties, and Ford Escapes, and Chevy equinox and the Honda CRV's...and the Saturn was an easy choice for me. I purchased an 08 Saturn vue with 35k miles on it it is a XR - loaded with everything except Sun roof and it looks brand new. I'm not a big fan of the color of the interior but it is starting to grow on me. It drives greats, very smooth, and the v6 power is crawly. I had a 4 cylinder and then the power is definately noticeable. I looked at a lot of Saturns and information technology seems they do vary with options on the xr and xe.. they are not all the same.. I would assume xr all had leather just they don't, and some xe's are very stripped downward on options then don't just assume besure to check them out good before going on a road trip to expect at them.

This is an Amazing car! i have a 2008 saturn vue xe, 4cylinder. For a 4 cyl information technology has a lot of pep! Comfort is dandy, dashboard design is very easy accessible. Charging ports front and back, TONS OF STORAGE. Rear seats fold so easily its incredible. ONE FLAW, 3 different size windshield wipers. What gives with that? Okay so they only come up one in a package and so it's non a loss, simply as for the rear wiper, yous can only order it from the GM dealer. That sucks but nothing that would make me blow up my car. I live in a desert, how frequently exercise i need it. Basic stereo, not that corking of sound but functionality is awesome. Got 3 months of OnStar and XM which was peachy. Car handles very well, go up and get and i dearest the transmission shift option for depression gear. My female parent lives in a gated community with a million speed bumps and information technology comes in handy very nicely. Saturn is great, the dealership i bought it at was AMAZING, and so friendly, accommodating and this machine i wish they didn't discontinue. I dear my Saturn. I bought it "used" but i don't consider information technology used. It was a leased vehicle, leased in one case. 2008, 36k miles for $13000 can't complain.

After it spent xx of the showtime thirty days of ownership in the store I tried to return it under Saturn'due south 30 24-hour interval return policy, but they would not laurels it because they counted the time from when I signed papers instead of delivery 5 days later for the dealer installed DVD system. Nosotros did alot of research before we made our purchase of the 2008 Saturn Vue. Originally we were leaning towards a Ford Escape until I starting reading reviews about the rear braking organization problems. The other issue was finding a vehicle fabricated in our grand old USA. Adept luck. While the Escape and the Nissan Xterra are made in the Us they were not what nosotros were hoping for. Nosotros test drove the Xterra and it was great in the front portion of the vehicle. It was a squeamish ride too merely it is hard to get in and out of the back seat due to the positioning of the rear bike well. Almost impossible for children. Big let down. Nosotros likewise drove the Rogue. Very nice vehicle merely I do not similar the look of it. Later on reading customer and expert reviews of the Saturn Vue I knew we had to cheque it out. Even though it is made in Mexico, it is assembled in USA. The Vue has a different wait, I will give it that and wasn't certain if I liked information technology or not simply we decided this is the vehicle to buy. The rubber features are unbelieveable and very impressive. This obviously fabricated us experience happy. I wasn't sure nearly the seating comfort but once I started adjusting the many adjustment features I roughshod in love. We chose the V6 and we are glad we did. The XR had alot of pep and can really get moving. I was very surprised. I accept but been driving it for 12 days and I am SOOOOOO happy with our pick. I was worried that my hubby would not be comfy (6'4") but he said it is actually comfy. I am nevertheless finding little nooks and cranys to shop things. The glove box is large. I didn't want to drive a large SUV specially since parking spaces seem to be increasingly shrinking. This is the perfect size vehicle for a small-scale family. We take not tried to fit 5 people in information technology merely it would be a bit cozy. The more than I drive this vehicle the more I fall in dear with information technology. In fact on the way habitation from work yesterday, I didn't want to become home. The XR version is pretty well loaded and you lot get alot for your money. Ane twelvemonth costless OnStar and 3 months of XM Radio is likewise a not bad selling point considering we will go on the OnStar which as well has a navigation and handless phone option. Bank check with your cell provider to meet about a cheaper charge per unit. Saturn does non like to negotiate the price of their vehicles so be warned when you lot go to the dealership.

After more than a decade with a Jeep M Cherokee (good vehicle that served me well), I finally got the chance to go new machine shopping. Much had changed in those ten years and now I could start looking at BMW, Acura, Infiniti and Lexus. Paying more than $40K for a car took a picayune getting used to, but I thought it was time to reap the rewards of difficult work. I looked at a ton of overnice vehicles and during more than a dozen exam drives, I learned what I liked and what I didn't like in the new cars. I've come to the realization that I'm not an off-roader, fifty-fifty though I like the higher ride and traction of SUVs. I ruled out truck-type SUVs early on. They?re nice, but there'due south no reason to live with the disadvantages. After many test drives, I found that there was no SUV that performed on the road similar the Infiniti EX-35. Information technology drove like a sports car, only, alas, it was. It was just too small-scale for my purposes and the FX-35 but didn't feel the same, and was well past $45K with a NAV organization. I idea maybe I could find some Infiniti in the new 2009 Nissan Murano, and I did. Unfortunately, it was more FX-35 (no surprise) than EX-35. Nevertheless, it was a keen vehicle and you could sneak in a NAV organization (and all they bundle with information technology) and escape for only under $40K (maybe). It rose to the top of my listing. Fortunately, I had time to terminate my "to-bulldoze" list and stopped by Saturn to bulldoze the Vue and then I could cantankerous it off my list with a clean conscience. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. I had driven the EX-35 for the 2d fourth dimension early on that morning (hoping it had grown since the first time - information technology didn't) so it'due south feel was all the same fresh in my mind. Believe it or not, the Vue handled more like that little AWD sports car, than any of the more than a dozen SUVs I'd tested. Information technology had smooth power (I?d learned I don't like turbo-lag) and plenty of it. The handling was solid and precise. I was quite pleasantly surprised. It looked cracking - although not every bit slick every bit some that lived on the other side of the $40K tracks. Then I began to add up the cost of all the options I wanted and finally got back in touch with my middle-class upbringing. I could tell the salesman to "give me everything you got" and save plenty to pay a college tuition bill! Oh yeah, at that place was 1 pick that was missing: ?Impress superficial neighbors?$10,000.? I guess I can continue to live without that one.

I've owned a CRV for 8 years. They've been good, reliable transportation that were well equipped and fun to drive. When I went to Honda to look at a new CRV I was VERY disappointed. The changes that take been fabricated make zero sense to me (I'm sure that they do for others as the CRV still sells) and I was completely turned off past nearly every change. I looked at the Kia, Toyota, and Ford options simply when I saw the Vue and drove it I was sold. Better interior than most of the others (although remote hatch and gas releases would be nice) and a MUCH more bonny exterior are part of information technology but the treatment was ameliorate and I felt the engine was more responsive than in any of the alternatives. The seats are very comfortable and maximally adjustable for my 6'iii" size. Integrated XM and OnStar are real bonuses that I am only now realizing are worth every penny. The no haggle, no pressure process was a Existent relief from what I went through with the deception and games at the Kia and Toyota dealerships. I couldn't fifty-fifty get a brochure at the Toyota dealership without giving them all my information!?! yet at the Saturn dealership I got every question answered without anything just a showtime name. Purchase was equally game-free (again). If the Vue holds up similar my wifes sometime Saturn SL2 did (ten years - 1 major repair) and then it will be amongst the all-time choices available overall. First, I never carp to write these reviews. I have had such a surprisingly groovy experience with this car though that I'd like to share... Never earlier had I fifty-fifty walked onto a Saturn lot or sat in one of their vehicles. Nonetheless recently I found myself looking at all options for a new crossover/SUV. I drove the CRV, the RAV4, the Mazda CX7, Ford Edge, Nissan Rogue, Mazda Tribute, Honda Pilot. The 2008 VUE was the but one that I found fit all of my qualifications. It's definitely the well-nigh fashionable, the seating the nearly comfortable and the overall interior the highest looking quality. Plus with the V6 it beat out the CRV which only comes in a 4Liter. It beats the CX7 and Rogue on space...the front seats of those cars experience very small. And its features are sleek...unlike the antiquated Honda Pilot with its gear shift or the Mazda Tribute with the shiny plastic interior. Not only is the VUE fantastic, but I take never had a better experience buying my motorcar. The dealership worked with me, gave me the best trade-in value on my erstwhile car of over 10 dealerships I talked to, and earlier I committed to buy the car even parked it around back the solar day I was planning to look at it again and then it would be there when I arrived. Their finance person made everything very simple to finalize quickly. I walked away feeling I got a fantastic deal on an amazing new auto. I am now a Saturn fan...and owner.

1st Iv Banger and 4-door SUV I have Owned...

For the by couple of weeks I have been searching for a compact SUV. I test drove the 2008 players: RAV4, CRV, Escape and the VUE. As for the Honda...I didn't at all like the one position front seating. Nor the motorcar shifter in the dashboard...that's weak! The RAV4 was a leading contender...simply the brake pedal to me seemed soft...and that spare tire on the dorsum...with a swinging back door...did non blow my skirt up either! :) WOW! The newly badged Saturn Vue or aka Opel from Europe...was a smash. Yep, I know! It weighs a fiddling more than the other pack leaders I test collection...simply at least now it doesn't have a gian hunk of plastic...and is congenital with steel. With all of the safety equipment now installed on the Vue...it is a very tidy little packet. The simply little gripe I accept about the Vue...are that the loving cup holders between the front end seats are a little bit depression. Other than that...this rig freaking ROCKS! The MPG's are very close to the RAV4 and CRV coming in at 26/19 respectively. Right now until 1/two/08 GM gives $two,000 off and if y'all are a Costco member an boosted $500. The 169hp in line four cylinder is very peppy and I had it on the superhighway doing 80mph easily. The musical instrument panel is easy to read and the seats are comfortable and fully adjustable. Including up and down...forepart to dorsum...and also a lunbar support. Oh BYW, the brake pedal on the Vue was perfect. This vehicle is very smooth handling and a pleasure to drive. I'll tell yuns what! Y'all cannot buy a ameliorate rig for the money...Finish OF STORY.

My Saturn Vue is my commencement SUV. I admittedly love it. I was looking for an SUV that is super stylish, fun to drive, and practical. With my new Saturn Vue, with 4WD, I found all of that. The handling is great, the interior has lots of extras, and the motorcar is then fun to bulldoze and comfortable. The fits and finish are all excellent and the cars looks are sylish and sporty. I have the leather heated seats, which are great if you live in a cold climate. The machine handles very well, information technology is easy to park and maneauver and you feel very rubber and confident with the many safety features and the AWD. I don't commonly have fourth dimension to write up reviews, but I am so pleased with my Saturn that I thought I'd share my thoughts. I highly recommend that if you lot are in the market for an SUV, y'all test drive the new Saturn Vue.

Serenity, refined...and Way underpriced!

Since 1973, when I bought my first car, I have owned or leased zilch but foreign cars (Toyota, Mitsubishi, Subaru). I had nada confronting American cars. I always gave them a fair exam, just they always came upwards short...until I tested the 2008 Saturn VUE. I did test the 2006 Saturn VUE and Ion, and I did not similar them (noisy, cheapy). Thus, I was blown away when I got behind the bicycle of the redesigned 2008 VUE and couldn't believe it was the same car. As it turns out, the merely thing Saturn carried over from 2006 and 2007 models was the proper name. (I don't know why they didn't change that, too!) This car/SUV is stunningly quiet and refined. In fact, if yous blindfolded someone and collection them around in the new VUE, they may swear they're in a Lexus or a Mercedes! It'southward that impressive. How they do it for so (relatively) little money is beyond me, but I'm not complaining. In fact, the only minor quibble I had was with the 4-cyl engine in the automobile I initially bought. Information technology was but too underpowered on the highway, peculiarly on hills, and then I swapped it in (and, to the best of my cognition, only Saturn lets you do that) for a 6-cyl. Yes, I took a hit in the wallet on the gas mileage, only the increased horsepower and torque more than make upwardly for information technology. If you are automobile shopping and have visited Toyotaland or Honda Land, make it a point to climb Mount Saturn. I think you'll enjoy the VUE!

Third Vue

The 08 Vue is a quantum leap from my previous 2 (iv cyl. 5 speeds); it'south smooth, quiet and luxurious by comparison. My married woman loves it, especially the reddish colour, which she calls "Ruby Slipper;" you know, from the Wizard of Oz. On the down side, although my 4 cylinder model has acceptable power I doubt it will ever get the 30 mpg that the v-speeds did. 1 of my friends with a RX350 was really impressed with the look, sound and feel of the Vue; he left wondering if the actress $20,000 for the Lexus was really worth it. This is my 4th Saturn overall and I have always institute the Eco-Tec engine to be 100% impenetrable.

The all new VUE is comfortable, has smashing standard safety features and has a great new design. The 4 cylinder engine has enough of power and I like the choice of the larger six cylinder for overall performance.

Great package for a modest SUV

The 2007 and the 2008 Vue are like night and day. I test drove both cars. Driving the 2007 Vue was totally uninspiring. The steering was sloppy and the vehicle was non very responsive. The 2008 Vue couldn't have been more different. The steering was crisp and although information technology looks a petty bulky, it feels very agile, even sporty. I had driven the Rav4 the previous day and would have to say that the 2008 Vue is more fun to drive. The 2008 styling is a huge upgrade in looks over the 2007. The interior feels roomy and has some overnice detailing. Also, the base Vue comes with standard features that are options on any other make out there; XM radio, OnStar, 6 airbags. I had no intention of buying a 2008 Vue, I was looking at the 2007 Vue Hybrids, only it definitely won me over. Negatives are the less than ideal gas mileage and my 4 cyl Vue will not win any races. Many more positives than negatives.
